Discount/Checkout Question, one discount per order?

Is there a way to allow for only ONE discount per order? I have added the price break discount mod(purchase of x amount calculates automatic discount). If a customer takes advantage of this discount(which calculates automatically they are not able to combine with coupon/promotional offers.

Basically just one discount per order. Any ideas? Thank you.

You would have to customize each discount module to be aware of the others; nothing is built in.

Thank you for your response...how would I go about doing this? Is it very complicated?
