not getting anywhere PLEASE HELP! ! !

I'm so lost right now! ! ! ! I have zen cart downloaded but nowhere (either in FAQor tutorials) does it say what to do next. it jumps from installation to after the order form or storefront has been created. Can you create your own order page? ? ? ? ? Please help! I'm really frustrated! ! !

Check out the top right corner of ANY page in this forum......Tutorials/FAQ. That's the place to find a lot of your answeres. THIS PAGE in particular is a good place to start.

First thing to do is "uzip" the downloaded file.... then inside the folder you will find another folder called "docs" and again inside there you will find a file called "1 readme_insallation.html"
double click that and your browser will open with a great guide on what to do next

So what exactly are you wanting to know? You mentioned an order page in your first post............if you create your Categories and add products in Admin>Catalog>Categories/Products, then make sure you have a way of accepting payments by installing a Payment module in Admin>Modules>Payments.......then your product pages will have your "Add to Cart" button on them.

In the Tutorials/FAQ, I done a search for "products", which led me to THIS PAGE, then below that you will see "Related Articles", one of which takes you to THIS PAGE.

Also, I done a search for "accept payments", which led me to THIS PAGE. Then, if you look, 5th down on that list is this link: "How do I get my money? When a customer buys, how do I get paid?"

This forum is really nice, and you will find the people in here WILL help you. But, you will also find that a lot of people WON'T help you until you at least TRY to help yourself!! After being supplied with where to look for the Turorials/FAQ, and you STILL didn't bother to search, and posted......again........"I can't seem to find any directions".........that's definitely NOT helping yourself......:no: Running an online store is REAL hard work and involves a LOT of searching to figure out how to set up and run your new Zen-Cart. And if you wait for EVERY single answer to come to you from this forum............it's going to take you a Hell of a long time to get your store up and running. Best tool you can have.............SEARCH and READ, then SEARCH and READ again, and again, and again...........!

mindapolis, it was not my intention to be rude at all, and I'm sorry you took it that way. I was just explaining that before SOME people in this forum will help you, you have to do a little research on your own.
And, I DID post links that should have been very helpful to you BEFORE I wrote the last paragraph explaining how things work in this forum. Did those pages help you and answer any of your questions?
I mean, after all..............did you see anybody else helping you?......no. That's because everybody here thinks that you should be reading the turorials/FAQ FIRST, before posting something like "I can't find any directions", as almost everything you need to know about setting up a Zen-Cart can be found there.

And, again.............I'm sorry you took that post as being rude, as that was definitely NOT my intention.
