ERROR: your cart is empty messsage upon paypal checkout/confirm order?

Sorry for posting this in two forum sections, but maybe it is better placed here? Since it is a payment issue...

Details:

v. 1.39h
New install (with customers/orders ported from 1.37)
canadapost shipping mod
paypal regular (not express)

Problem:

I have had one successful order to the states from canada (from an already previously registered customer), and I have tested the site successfully numerous times on Firefox and IE.
I have a customer (also a previously registered customer) as of last night that states she placed 8 items in her cart and was on the "confirm order" and goes to checkout through paypal but gets this message: ERROR: your cart is empty

Please can anyone help with this issue?

I saw similar errors while setting up interac by beanstream payment module.

I think it has to do with the "Detailed Line Items in Cart" setting, as after a certain amount of products it gets shortened at least in my case, to "store receipt" instead of all the products and attributes - on the paypal site.

You may also want to check your paypal settings to make sure you've set your Instant Payment Notification Preferences URL to:

https://yoursite.com/ipn_main_handler.php

I'll try it without detailed items and see if that helps.

the ipn address is/was correct in paypal site.

I suspect this client will try again tonight as she is very anxious about her order not going through, I am also having her clear her cache and cookies and i've deleted her old account and told her to sign up again. So if all of these options do not work I am completely stumped. I'll keep this thread updated.

anyways, between turning off itemized list in paypal module, having her clear her cache/cookies, and setting up a new account, she was able to place the order successfully. :) Thank you for the suggestion to remove the itemized list option thedjphat. :)

Were any of those items in the cart specifically causing the problem? ie: maybe they had weird symbols in their names, such as something other than letters and numbers?
