Import customer details only into database

Hi,
I'd like to upgrade from 1.3.8 to the latest version.

My database is a whopping 4gb or so.
(I have optimized the database)
Therefore I'd like to import only the customer accounts and orders.

Is this possible and easy to do?

(I know I'll be in for a lot of work in recreating the products, but its reached that time....unless I should wait for 2.0? gulp)

Even though your database is large, why not import the whole thing, so you will have all of your customers, orders, products............EVERYTHING?..............just asking...................

(edit: database is 8mb not 4 gb....day dreaming)

It contains a lot of modules that were added to try out, but are not used, and I'm sure that's where half of the database size comes from.
Would a massive database not slow things down a tad?
We get a lot of page views so the faster the better...

Can anyone tell me how to import single fields with phpmyadmin?

I have a full database backup from an old store and only want to import customer fields and products.

(don't worry about why...)

Basically NO, not easy

If all you are wanting is to remove addons

Make a backup first

frop any tables they added, and remove any files and if they touched core files replace with originals

Then use the full DB
