Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread (for ZC v1.3.9)

Have to agree with DivaVocals - I installed SuperOrders 4 into a new zencart 1.5 install, no need to worry about templates, just rename your admin directories, works great :-)

Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread (for ZC v1.3.9)

I am new to the support thread forum as far as posting any problems. SO I will try to clarify my situation. I have a new install of zen cart 1.50 and have made a few add-ons (easy populate, recover cart sales, email manager). They all seemed to work correctly after I installed them. I have used the older version of Super Orders on my older version of Zen Cart (1.39h). I did a new install of Zen Cart 1.50 on a different host. I renamed the ADMIN folders to my current ADMIN folder names and uploaded the files. I did not receive any message about a successful install though. I did find this error after you mentioning the log files:

[29-Jun-2012 11:40:32] PHP Warning: require(includes/init_includes/init_so_config.php) [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/pitst0p/public_html/includes/autoload_func.php on line 48
[29-Jun-2012 11:40:32] PHP Fatal error: require() [<a href='function.require'>function.require</a>]: Failed opening required 'includes/init_includes/init_so_config.php' (include_path='.:/usr/lib/php:/usr/local/lib/php') in /home/pitst0p/public_html/includes/autoload_func.php on line 48

When I attempted to open my browser to go to my login screen on my host, i got an error saying it wasn't found and the site may be down for maintenance. So I reversed the install and it is all back to normal now.

I hope that information is a bit more helpful.

Thanks for your assistance.

I am still not fully clear if this is an install on a vanilla Zen Cart store (NO previous Super Orders installation) or if this is an upgraded 1.3.8 or 1.3.9 store..

Not sure what you are describing is occurring since you have not provided the exact error message you see.. So I'm left to guess what the error message MIGHT be, and I'm afraid I can't begin to hazard a guess about what's wrong without some more specifics.. Sorry..

It would appear that you did not upload the install files to the correct folder locations. (namely it looks like you uploaded some of the files from the admin/includes folder to the shop's includes folder) Please double check your install this version of Super Orders really is very much plug-n-play if you follow the installation instructions..

Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread (for ZC v1.3.9)

Zadris:

The ID number of the item...not the Order ID...for example when you list an item it is automatically given an ID number ..1001..(just an example) that number never appears anywhere..not on details...the invoice or anything like that....unless of course I have missed it. Thanks. This actually isn't really a "Super Orders" question.. What you are asking is more of a general Zen Cart "how do I do this" kind of question.. Since the the "super" code that makes Super Orders "super" is now integrated into the default orders.php, invoice.php, and packingslip.php files, the answer to your question is the same regardless of whether or not you use Super Orders.. There are posts which discuss how to add the product model number to the order/invoice/packingslip. Those same instructions should also work for product ID.. Suggest doing a search on the forum for these posts..

Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread (for ZC v1.3.9)

I have the same problem that oldgeezer has. This is a brand new install to zen-cart V1.5. I logged in to the admin before uploading the two folders. I did change the admin folder names to reflect the same admin folder name on my site. After uploading I went to the admin page and clicked on a link, the screen went blank and nothing has happened. I checked the error log and I get the following error

[30-Jun-2012 08:17:46] PHP Fatal error: Cannot redeclare update_status() (previously declared in /home/mardyb1/public_html/sharpchain.com/zen/zc_admin/includes/functions/extra_functions/common_orders_functions.php:101) in /home/mardyb1/public_html/sharpchain.com/zen/zc_admin/includes/functions/extra_functions/super_orders_functions.php on line 54

Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread (for ZC v1.3.9)

I received this error after installing my Zen sql admin patch section.

1064 You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near 'TYPE=MyISAM' at line 1
in:
[CREATE TABLE so_payments ( payment_id int(11) NOT NULL auto_increment, orders_id int(11) NOT NULL default '0', payment_number varchar(32) NOT NULL default '', payment_name varchar(40) NOT NULL default '', payment_amount decimal(14,2) NOT NULL default '0.00', payment_type varchar(20) NOT NULL default '', date_posted datetime NOT NULL default '0000-00-00 00:00:00', last_modified datetime NOT NULL default '0000-00-00 00:00:00', purchase_order_id int(11) NOT NULL default '0', PRIMARY KEY (payment_id) ) TYPE=MyISAM ;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

I did read through this forum...but heck I don't know how to fix it.

Should I start over?

Thank you.

Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread (for ZC v1.3.9)

Ok...I am definitely not a programmer:

Now I received this error:

1060 Duplicate column name 'date_completed'
in:
[ALTER TABLE orders ADD date_completed datetime default NULL, ADD date_cancelled datetime default NULL, ADD balance_due decimal(14,2) default NULL;]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields.

Oh...DivaVocals...please don't get mad at me...:)

Can you please let me know the fix?

Thank you so much :)

swguy:

Just change 'TYPE=MyISAM' to 'Engine=MyISAM' in the .SQL file.

This works! Thank you so much. Sorry for all my dumb posts...still learning....

Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread (for ZC v1.3.9)

Go to your SQL and change

TYPE=MyISAM ;

to

ENGINE=MyISAM ;

everywhere you see it.
Then rerun the sql and reinstall.

I have this exact problem, and I dont see any replies on how to fix it. Any suggestions guys?

Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread (for ZC v1.3.9)

Now that I messed up the whole thing trying to install and not really understanding what i am doing...Is there a way to save my files and do a partial reinstall? I can no longer access the admin. Blank screen. I think I merged the wrong files and put wrong ones in the wrong places and who knows what else. Can my customers, their orders, and gift certificates, etc be saved?

Here is what I did (I am usually a bright person but not always as will be evident):
backed up
installed edit orders
check it worked
started installing super orders
kid was interrupting every five
I am over tired
I only barely know what I am doing
trying to hurry so get supper on table so we can leave for karate in 15 minutes

base files. uploaded.
modified core files. merged then uploaded.
oh, wait... ummm. the base files are not the admin files.
I changed and modified all the wrong files.

Meanwhile, orders keep coming to my inbox so the site is up and running but the admin is all messed up. Is there any salvation here?

Dairymom, in the short term, your best bet might be to get your hosting company to restore all the files on your site. The orders (and the database) will not be affected by this, and you'll get your admin back.

That worked!

Next time I will wait until it isn't a store day! What a stressor! Thanks so much.

Re: Super Orders v3.0 Support Thread (for ZC v1.3.9)

Hello,

first thank you very much for this nice piece of software.

I just installed it and I'm getting and SO internal error when I ask for the details, it says Warning, a error occured reload page. Reloading the page does no get any better. I've been to the Apache error.log and nothing at Apache level.
If I ask to edit details it's OK, I see the details, even if I didn't try to add products.

HubertWhen you see the error message there should be an error log file in the Zen Cart cache folder.. What does that error log file say??

I posted this several days ago but did not get any response. I wanted to clarify a few things with this install that may help in troubleshooting, if you have any suggestions, it would be greatly appreciated.

I Installed zen-cart version 1.5 a few months ago, I always create a test store as well before I install any mods or upgrades to my real store. My current store and test store I have installed a couple mods, Ceon credit card app and a search log for logging any search terms that are used. I followed the Super Orders install instructions but when I click on a link in the admin area, I get a white screen and nothing else. When I check the error log, I get the error stated above. Is it possible that one of the two mods already installed is causing this error? I installed a 3rd test site of zen-cart and installed Super Orders without the two mods installed and it works fine. My next step would be to install a 4th test site and install 1 of the mods and then install Super Orders to see if it hangs up again, then repeat with the second mod.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.
