Forcing currency on checkout

Hi,

My store, http://bumptobaby.ie is performing very well on google.ie, however we want to launch in the UK and the site doesn't rank very well on google.co.uk

Reading around the google forums two suggestions were made.

1. List in UK£ so google will relate the site with the UK.
2. Use a subdomian such as uk.bumptobaby.ie

What I'd like to do is set up this subdomain and have all prices there in UK£, however at checkout I'd like the prices to revert to euro as this is better for my payment gateway, is this possible to achieve?

This has already been answered by myself in the other thread you had open about it. The answer remains the same, and it's "No" - at least not by default.

It could probably be achieved with a custom-coded solution, but you'd then run into all sorts of legal problems when customers complain that they started checkout in UK Pounds Sterling and hadn't noticed it had been changed to Euros at a disadvantageous rate of UK Pounds Sterling to Euros. You could be accused of "obtaining money by deception" or any number of other nasty charges.
