Free Shipping Mysteriously just stopped working...

Ok...this is way weird. But first...

My shop is configured to have free shipping on orders over $500.00. It has been working fine for almost a year. This morning, a customer emailed me to tell me to make sure that she gets free shipping, as it wasn't calculated at checkout. I COULD NOT duplicate her issue (as in, free shipping calculated fine for me). I then asked a co-worker to place an order and see if the same thing happened. Free shipping WAS NOT calculated for him. What gives? The only difference between he and I as far as these orders on our site is concerned is that he is, of course, a different username and password, we had different items in our carts, and we use different browsers (I used Chrome, he used IE). Any ideas out there, Zenophiles?

And yes, both of our test orders were over $500.00.

What happens if you try to order the Products he selected and he tries to order the Products that you selected?

For the Free Shipping on Orders over $500.00 are you using the Modules ... Order Totals ... Shipping ot_shipping setting?

What are your setting for this that appear in the right panel?

OK...so when I purchased the same products (in the same quantity) as my coworker, but used MY login info, the Free Shipping DID work. This is way weird. Could it have something to do with the user??

You have it set to National only ... are you both in the same country for the customers that you are testing?

Ah ha! You've hit it. I imported a lot of customers into the website, and didn't get their address books configured quite correctly...and that's the solution! The co worker's country is Aaron Islands, NOT the US. Which is the case with ALL the customers that I imported! Thanks! I know what I have to fix now!
