Free Shipping if Another Item is purchased?

I have been tinkering with ZenCart over the past couple of days. I am seriously considering switching over from a competing shopping cart.

Basically I run a webshop in which I sell very LARGE items and very SMALL items.

If a customer orders one small item, I need to charge them for the shipping. However, if they order one large item and one small item, I do not need to charge them for the shipping of the small item, since I can put it in the same shipping box as the large item.

My small items are very light and will not significantly influence the weight of a large package.

Does ZenCart make it possible to easily manage this type of scenario? What would be the best way to do it and what shipping modules should I be considering?

Zen cart supports these types of issues quite well. :cool:

The standard built in shipping modules will do what you are requesting, and add on scripts are available for various companies.

Maybe try installing zen cart on a private server so you can see what is involved and available - without disrupting your current site. I use **Wamp **to test a lot of stuff, even though it is horribly slow in the best of circumstances.

**Winmerge **is also a zen cart essential.
