My page has disappeared :(

I have been using zen cart for over 2 years now and just yesterday it seems a problem has come up and my page is no longer in existance.

the error on the page is 1146 Table 'bbbu3187_zc1.zen_configuration' doesn't exist
in:
[db_cache table]

and when I go to my saved zen cart to log in I get 1146 Table 'bbbu3187_zc1.zen_configuration' doesn't exist
in:
[select configuration_key as cfgKey, configuration_value as cfgValue from zen_configuration]
If you were entering information, press the BACK button in your browser and re-check the information you had entered to be sure you left no blank fields

Is there anyone that could give me a hand? I am quite computer illiterate and am unable to get ahold of my original designer but was having Boxing Week sales so hope to get functional again ASAP

Use your hosting provided phpmyadmin and view your database
See if the configuration table exists
If not, if you have a DB backup see if that has the table
If no DB backup, see if your host has one

I cannot even get to my zen cart log in so I do not know how to go about it :no:

I got into the right area :):clap:

I see a ZC 1 DB it is there and all of the apparent parts are within it including one called configuration group

from there I have no idea of what to do still...is that where you were suggesting??

There should be bot a configuration and a configuration group table

Config is missing then :(

You probably have a bunch of missing tables, including customers, products, and configuration. If that's the case, you've probably been hacked, there are a bunch of messages in the Hacked forum, all with the same issue.

You'll have to follow the Recovering from Hacks link at the top of the security forum. You'll need a database backup.

It was a hack and when I googled the name it comes up in Zen Cart forums in Dutch...they have been busy messing with Zen Carts :censored:

The bulk of the site is restored, but as you said, product and customer Dbs are gone. Customers is covered, just have to re build the product and do some tweeking on the tables and landing now.

I have the same problem, how did you create a new zen_configuration table? No post seems to address this. Does updating create a new table?

NOTE to ALL:

The DB contains all customer & sales activity

Just as in a Brick & mortar business where daily receipts are gathered and filed at the close of each business day....

In an online shop the same should be done DAILY

This means making a DB backup EVERY DAY and save it locally
