Stack category images on main page?

Hi

I'd like to show my categories stacked on the main page.
(I have five categories and i want only one category/image per line)

I found a thread that seemed to be trying to solve what i want to achieve

• They added the following to the stylesheet

.categoryListBoxContents {
float: left;
}

I tried commenting it out on my style sheet but it didnt seem to do anything

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

Sorry, at the moment its only on a local machine..

In that case we have to play guessing games. Are you sure there are no other rules for .categoryListBoxContents in any stylesheet?

.categoryListBoxContents would stack the categories?

Do you have a template installed? If so, which one, and where did you get it?

Since we can't see it to do it for you, you need to install Firefox and its Web Developer and Firebug extensions. These will let you examine page elements to see what classes and ids apply to them, and what stylesheet rules affect them.
