Upgrading for complete Dummy

Are there some very basic easy to follow instructions for upgrading anywhere. I have followed the 3 easy steps which are not at all easy and still cant do it. Can someone please explain to me in very easy terms how to do this

It depends on what you're upgrading from. What is your current Zencart version ?
