Ultimate Cross Sell [Support Thread]

I just installed this script, and got errors when I hit install. I apparently can insert items, but there are no sideboxes to add with layout controller. I tried search for these without any luck. They make no sense to me. I'm using Zen 1.3.8a

I got these first two right from install. The others came when I reloaded the page.

Hi does anyone know why I can't see the install buttons after implementing those steps mentioned above? I am using 1.5.x version of zencart.

It was not built for 1.5.X but rather 1.3.9.

Ah will there be an update for the 1.5.x in the future?

Hello Thanks for the Cross Sell Module, works great. I have 100's of items that I want to add one same cross sell item to. Is there a way to "mass" add the cross sell item to the main items? (instead of one by one).

Add the cross sell item first in the text box and then separated by commas add each main item and choose the option to cross sell both ways.

Hi, I'm running into a funny problem, the drop down menu on the admin page has nothing in it. Do you have any idea why this would be?

HI, from the following steps 9-11 below I can only do step 11. Steps 9 and 10 are not visible in my admin. Please help! site is https://www.asia-sell.com

9. Go to your Admin > Catalog > Ultimate Cross Sell and click on the install button.
10. Go to your Admin > Configuration > Ultimate Cross Sell Settings and configure settings to your preference.
11. Go to your Admin > Tools > Layout Boxes Controller to turn on either of the three new sideboxes.

Note: I checked that all of the files were uploaded and that the extra code was placed into the 2 files. The only thing that was funny was that the tpl_shopping_cart_default.php file wasn't in my template directory, so I copied it from /public_html/includes/templates/template_default/templates/

In the SQL file replace TYPE by ENGINE, and it should work. "TYPE" has been depricated and was replaced by "ENGINE".

oh yeh I just remembered it doesn't work in zencart version 1.5. :blink:

Has the developer abandoned this module? Need updated version for Zen cart 1.5.4.

I'm currently working on an update to make Ultimate Cross Sell for Zen Cart compatible with Zen Cart 1.5.0. I will upload updates to github until I can upload a finalized version to the free Addons section. In this manner, anybody that would like to test it can do so ansd by so help by providing any suggestions, bug fixes etc... Please post your comments here so that I can work them into the update.

That's too bad It's a great mod. It seems like you started to get it updated for 1.5.x what happened, did a lot need to be changed?

No, other projects took priority. You could probably make it work with some of the other cross sells available in the plug ins section.
