I messed up

I am using the latest version of ZC. I am new the ZC and I am trying to design my site... I am completely new to this and I was trying to get rid of the sales message goes here and change a few things...
Needless to say, I thought I was following the guidelines properly but obviously I didnt! Sales message goes here message is still there but now my side boxes are screwed up! I dont know what I changed and I didnt properly create a back up file.
My question is; is there a way that ZC can reset my site to a previous date, prior to when I made these changes? I did it yesterday afternoon, or can I replace the entire folder that I was messing around in with a new one that is untouched so that my side boxes arent messed up any longer?

If you followed the override system, you can switch back to the classic template and see if that solves your issue of the sideboxes.

Yes, if you replace the file you modified with an untouched version, you can start over.

How can I get an "untouched" file?

Since you're modifying the Classic template directly, you will probably need to download a fresh fileset (if you don't still have the original zip you downloaded).
