[Fixed - See post 26] USPS International shipping problem...

Ok so figured out the function str_replace did the "cleaning", got the echo output on the site as an example as such:

Global Express Guaranteed® (GXG)**
USPS GXG™ Envelopes**

So in the type lines, I put the names as:

Global Express Guaranteed® (GXG)**
USPS GXG™ Envelopes**

but still not showing int usps options

1.3.8a

Had the same issues from first post.

-Uploaded Version B usps.php

-Remove, install cofig

It worked, but now only Express Int shows on the payment page no matter what is originally selected.

First Class Int is the default button filled, other options are Priority Int and Express Int.

I totally agree, I hate usps changing all this stuff. Last year it was easier to adjust, and thanks to the help on the forum we got it figured out. Monday morning is 12 hours away for me and I really need this fixed. I've been playing around with it but still no luck. I really appreciate your help Ajeh and hope we can figure this out soon. If you need any info from me to get this figured out let me know.

This is not my favorite solution for the USPS January 2, 2011 changes ... however it does work for everything ...

This may change later, but it will get you the USPS quotes for the time being ...

Please let me know if you have any problems with this ...

NOTE: for those making custom code, the extra HTML has been stripped from the shipping methods, at this time ...

1 Go to Modules ... Shipping ... and save old settings to NotePad

2 Load new usps.php to the server to:
/includes/modules/shipping

3 Go to Modules ... Shipping ...
Click on USPS
Click REMOVE
Click INSTALL
Edit and reconfigure your settings

4 If using Tare Rates on some settings, for International to work you will need to edit the usps.php file and change the rounding from 3 to 2 ...

This version is also working fine for me. I only use a few classes of mail and both domestic and international priority and express are working great for me.

Hi I'm trying to update to the new rates. I noticed that there is no readme file together with this update and I don't want to mess up the site. Is it the includes/modules/shipping/usps.php that i need to change?

Yes, that's the correct location.

First, copy your settings from the existing USPS module and then click the remove button. Upload the new file and then re-install the module using the settings you saved earlier.

This should work on older versions of Zen Cart ...

Some version, very old ones, will need the line:

class usps extends base {

changed to:

class usps {

confirmed works with 1.3.8a thanks :-)

I also confirm that it's now working. (I was wondering why we had a drop off in sales). Glad we all caught it in time. Thanks again Ajeh for the help!

Also working for me (1.3.8a). I wouldn't have know it was a problem if a customer hadn't asked my why USPS wasn't an option any longer!

Also, if, after installing Ajah's quick fix, international is showing up, but domestic is not, change, on line 193 the zen_round from 3 to 2 ...
Line 193 old: $shipping_ounces = zen_round($shipping_ounces, 3);

Line 193 new: $shipping_ounces = zen_round($shipping_ounces, 2);

for some reason, USPS can't handle 3 digits!
