Extra product pictures are not showing up

My problem is that none of the extra product pictures are showing up. I name them according to the tutorial (Thanks to Ajeh - Linda McGrath who wrote the great tutorial at:
https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=58, I think I have it memorized!) and upload via FTP, but nothing happens.

Example:

I have a product I call BM-FP
The main product picture is BM-FP.jpg which is in images/medium and shows up just fine.
I have uploaded BM-FP_01.jpg and BM-FP_02.jpg to images/medium/ExtraPics and.... nothing.

I have tried putting them all in the same directory

I have tried renaming them to BM_FP and BM_FP_01, BM_FP_02

I have triple checked that Admin->Catalog->Product Types->Product General->Edit Layout->Show Additional Images = 1

I have looked through the forums and not found anyone with this same problem.

I have pulled out large chunks of hair...

I am using version 1.3.9h, upgraded from version f. I had the same problem before upgrading. No other add-on modules have been installed (yet). I had someone start designing a layout for me, so some custom style work has been done.

Please, can anyone shed some light on this issue?

I do not see any product as BM-FP

when navigating/entering this I get a 404 not found page
your_site.com/zen/images/medium/BM-FP.jpg

This shows the image
your_site.com/zen/images/medium/TH-BP.jpg

Try putting them in the /images dir
Repoint this in the product setup in your admin

Might also rename BM-FP.jpg to BMFP.jpg and your additionals to BMFP_01.jpg & BMFP_02.jpg

They should all be in the same directory for a start, it won't find the extra images if they are in a different directory

can you give us an actual image on your site where you are having this problem

Proving that no matter how careful I try to be, I will make a mistake on something dumb. The example product I meant to cite was BM-FR not BM-FP. I should be able to tell R from P!

I tried BMFR.jpg and BMFR_01.jpg, BMFR_02.jpg

I tried putting all of them in the main images directory

I tried putting all of them in images/medium directory

I tried deleting all my images and reloading them via FTP

I tried uploading them again via the admin>catalog>categories/products>BM-FR etc.

I have tried prayer

I have tried eating cookies.

So far, the cookies tasted good - you are the answers to the prayers, and nothing else has worked.

BM-FR_LRG.jpg (as an example of type) where used work fine

All regular pictures are showing up just fine

Try switching to the classic template and see if they appear

If they do, then it is something in the template

I switched to the original template, and the pictures still do not show up.  :censored:

Should I add this coding somewhere?

Make sure that you can see the image with one of the above and then try the classic template

You keep giving this image different names on some links it is

BM-FR (your latest additional images one)

on others it is

BMFR (your earlier correction)

are sure you are not naming the extra files incorrectly?

Sorry, I don't mean to be confusing.

The product I was using for the example is named BM-FR but I have tried renaming it to BMFR in case the hyphen was causing problems. That did not make a difference, so I put it back to the original configuration. I have tried so many different things that sometimes I loose track!

you do realise they all need to be the same type

if your initial image is a png the additional images must be pngs as well

Also be aware its case sensitive so

jpg JPG jpeg JPEG are all seen as different file types
