New installation - can't get past database login

I have more information: I am on a Windows based server and not a Linux so that will affect the commands that I use to set permissions. Can you please tell me what those would be? Also, there is a setting on the hosting company called IIS settings that I am having a problem accessing, but I am working with the hosting company about this.

Yes. You will probably only be able to set folder and file permissions using your hosting control panel.

As I've never worked with Windows IIS Servers I have no idea.

Best advice - get your hosting company to switch you to a Linux server if they offer a choice of Windows or Linux.

Hello, I have edited my permissions on the host server and I need to get the permissions code for changing permissions on the server - I am on a windows based system so Linux commands won't work.

There is a code for changing permissions with using FTP on a Linux server, or it can be done via the hosting control panel, . But with Windows you need to use the File Manager in the hosting control panel, or else run the site as a FrontPage Web and use that to alter permissions. Using FrontPage is not recommended for PHP based sites, and FrontPage is no longer supported by Microsoft.
