Frustrated, why is is so hard to customise?

Fantastic, thanks for the info(I think I'm sorted now)

Although I was kind of thinking of something more official which would cover the totally modding of the Categories, which would include categories dressing and how to manipulate both set of CSS Classes to get the desired result.

Then Sticky it and sit back and watch the number of posts on Categories fall! ;) Well maybe.

Is there an idiots guide to categories dressing anywhere on here.
I might have a go at compiling a post which does as I mentioned.

Imagine if there were a WYSIWYG editor for Zen cart! I mean not only the most flexible free cart on the market but also the easiest to modify!

The readme.html for Categories Dressing is as thorough as I could make it without writing a book. If you can suggest a more understandable way to organize it or phrase things, I would like to hear your thoughts.

Re: Frustrated, why is is so hard to customise?

Yeah thanks gjh42, What I'd like to do at some point is put together a visual guide to modding the Categories using a combo of Catergories dressing and default Stylsheet.

That might be a way off I'm still learning myself!

With that in mind I have a couple more questions please:

I'm trying to align my categories text with a bullet I've added using categories dressing and failing, any tips? At the moment the bullet looks too high.
the text also seem a little too low, but I can't find whats controlling that, I guess I could tweak it with padding, but I don;t want to 'paint over' the problem as it were.

Also I need to remove the Right box on my homepage as at the moment I seem to have a border with nothing in? If I turn the cart off It disappears, but obviously I'll want that to appear on other pages.

Any chance of some tips?

Many thanks in advance
