Ultimate Fade-In Slidehow Support thread

I will show you what I mean. I have taken a screenshot of two different websites with the same image. They are both in the same size window and each website is the same size, both using 60% for the mainwrapper I assume.

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/838/errorbg.jpg/

You see the screenshot on the left. There is a lot of white blank space there which should only be appearing when the window is bigger. Everything has gone out of align and messed up because the window has gone smaller. The screenshot on the right, notice how the blank space from the edge disappears depending on what size you make the window.

Re: Ultimate Fade-In Slidehow Support thread

Thanks I tried 900 but was still getting an issue with the top so changed it to 1000 and its perfect now.

Is it possible to add the slideshow so it appears above the "Welcome Guest! Would you like to log yourself in?" and Above my Welcome message.

I added the code in the define_main_page but I would prefer if it wasn't part of that and in its own separate section.

Re: Ultimate Fade-In Slidehow Support thread

To put the slideshow there, you would have to edit /includes/templates/your_template/templates/tpl_index_default.php.

You will need a different template. Check out the template section (in the Free Add On's section).

That is correct. Just add more images within the script and it should work.

So there is no way to wrap the text down the right hand side of the slide show, then think I'll leave it as it is then as I don't want to have to change the template

Sorry misunderstood what you were asking. I thought you wanted the entire site layout. As for the text next to the slideshow, You need to changes the location of where you have it put. You need to put it in the code above where you have entered your text. Then you will change the location from 'Center' to align 'left'.

Hope that helps.

Re: Ultimate Fade-In Slidehow Support thread

Is there a way to have this come up in the featured products area on the main page?

Re: Ultimate Fade-In Slidehow Support thread

Yeah it can go anywhere. You just need to put the code in the place for the Featured items. I think it should work. Not that I can say I have seen it, or done it before.

Re: Ultimate Fade-In Slidehow Support thread

I cant seem to get the text to work. The link is working but no text. Here is what I have edited.

fadeimages[0]=["images/image0.jpg", "index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1&products_id=4", "some info about the picture here"] //plain image syntax
fadeimages[1]=["images/image1.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax
fadeimages[2]=["images/image2.jpg", "", ""] //plain image syntax

I have mine working in Firefox and IE 8 ok but in IE 9 it aligns the images to the right side. Looks awful.I cant seem to center them.
Anyone know what Ive done wrong or is it a glitch with IE9?

Re: Ultimate Fade-In Slidehow Support thread

I have installed ultimate_fadein_slidehow_v2-4 today. Taken me ages but I now have it working in Firefox and IE8 but not in IE9. It aligns the images over to the right.
I didnt add this scrip (below) to tpl_header.php as advised as I wanted it in my main page. Instead I added it to define_main_page.php

<script type="text/javascript" src="fade.js"></script>

<script type="text/javascript"> //new fadeshow(IMAGES_ARRAY_NAME, slideshow_width, slideshow_height, borderwidth, delay, pause (0=no, 1=yes), optionalRandomOrder) new fadeshow(fadeimages, 480, 386, 0, 3000, 0 ) </script>

I then wanted to center align it so added <center> to begining and </center> to end as below

<script type="text/javascript" src="fade.js"></script>

<center><script type="text/javascript"> //new fadeshow(IMAGES_ARRAY_NAME, slideshow_width, slideshow_height, borderwidth, delay, pause (0=no, 1=yes), optionalRandomOrder)

new fadeshow(fadeimages, 480, 386, 0, 3000, 0 )

</script></center>

Can anyone help identify the problem with the images not aligning in the center in IE9 please? :unsure:
