where is shopping cart items stored in DB?

where is shopping cart items stored in DB?

I am wondering where is the information of items added in shopping cart for current customer stored in DB? So that I can write some php code to retrieve the infomation for some purpose.

Look at the customer basket table. Though that's only populated once the customer has logged in. Otherwise the data is held in the session not the database.
