Define pages editor missing pages in drop down menu

Went to edit the main page on our site in define pages editor and there are no pages listed in the drop down menu to select a page to edit. Same for both html and plain text. I have searched faq and postings and find nothing that will help. Seems to be an unusual occurrence. I was disabling some of the side boxes just before the problem and my partner had just copied some text from the define pages editor - main page. I can still edit the pages on the server but nothing I do brings the list back in define pages editor. Hope someone has some ideas!

Try reloading your admin files

You may want to compare your live admin/define_pages_editor.php file with a fresh copy from your install file set.

I compared what I have with a new install with Winmerge. They are Identical. will try reloading admin files.

All admin files compared with earlier date (before problem) they are all same as current. Still no pages in drop down list.

I am also having identical issue. There are no files in the drop down menu of the Define Pages editor.

Searched entire forum several times but no luck for a solution.

Zen cart version 1.3.8a
Database patch level 1.3.8 (fresh installation)

Reloaded admin files, installed same version in a different directory and used the define_pages_editor.php files in both admin and under includes/language folder.

Any help would be really welcome.
