Ms_X:
I am about to buy SSL Cert for my site today and there are 2 products that I like, the difference is price and that one works With Mobile & Smart Phones and other one not...so my question is can a person buy from my shop using these devices?or i need to develop special shop for them?
know it sounds crazy but I am not very familiar with this:oops::oops:
TIA
Whether SSL works with mobile/smart phones would be a function of the phone/device itself rather than any differences between SSL certificates, so if you wish to support mobile type devices that don't support SSL then you simply cannot use SSL for these customers and you'll need to make alternate methods.
Having said that, there is no benefit to having your entire site encrypted with SSL, it is only the signup/checkout pages where this is considered a good idea. The payment gateways (such as PayPal) use thier own SSL certificates, so arguably you don't really need one of your own anyway.
