Custom template looks wierd, haven't changed anything yet...

Hello there,
I've created files, selected my template, reset the boxes, go check to see the site but there is a problem. Haven't made any changes in the CSS yet, but the site looks odd in the browser:

The layout is fixed left but right side expands w/ window, colors are all over the place, etc. (attached is screenshot).

Double checked files...all seems ok. I expected the site to look like classic green prior to messing with anything, am I wrong?

Any comments?
thankyou

What you're seeing is the default template. If you want to start with the Classic template, you'll need to copy the files from classic/css and classic/images to the same folders in your custom template.

Thank you so much, that makes perfect sense!

I thought the default settings/template would be same as the Classic, but apparently not. I used Classic CSS & imgs and all is well.

It is a little confusing. The Classic template is enabled by default, but it isn't the default template - it's an example of a custom template.
