Filter by Category in Manufacturer´s page

Hello.

I´ve been looking for a solutionabout four hours in the forum, but I can´t find an answer.

Is about the Category filter in the manufacturer´s page. It lost. I have the Category/Manufacturer on, and the alpha sort order off. I can see the manufacturers filter in each category product list, but ¿How can i activate the Category filter for my manufacturer´s pages?.

Thank you very much to the community.

PD: I probe to change the template, but the Category filter don´t show.

Re: Filter by Category in Manufacturer´s page

That will only show if there are more than 1 Category in the Manufacturer listing that you are looking at ...

Example:
if the Manufacturer MicroSoft is only in Category 27, then you will not see it ...

if the Manufacturer MicroSoft is in Category 27 and Category 33 then you will see it ...

Re: Filter by Category in Manufacturer´s page

Thanks for your time Ajeh, but I have products with the same manufacturer in different categories and I can´t see it.

For example here,as you can see, I have mixing desk, keyboards, flutes... and I would like customers could select or filter a category product:

http://multisononline.com/index.php?manufacturers_id=37&main_page=index

By the way, sorry for this, but I´m all day looking for...

¿How can I show the product list by manufacturer?

Thnak you ;-)

What happens if you turn off the SEO/rewrites?

Re: Filter by Category in Manufacturer´s page

What is your setting in the Configuration ... Product Listing ... for the setting:

Display Category/Manufacturer Filter (0=off; 1=on)
Do you want to display the Category/Manufacturer Filter?

Re: Filter by Category in Manufacturer´s page

Hi again.

No, the Category/Manufacturer option in admin is 1 (on) I can filter products by manufacturer in the product lists, but the category filter dropdown is not present in the manufacturer product list.

Any other idea?

Thanks for your time

Re: Filter by Category in Manufacturer´s page

Go to your Zen Cart Admin and the Tools ... Developers Tool Kit ... and in the bottom input box enter:
zen_draw_pull_down_menu('filter_id

select Catalog ... and click Search ...

What comes up on the search?

The // in front of the echo on the one for your templates and overrides have turned off the dropdown ...

Fix your templates and overrides file and remove the // from in front of the echo and you should see it again ...

Re: Filter by Category in Manufacturer´s page

Thanks Ajeh, this solve the problem. The php was modified by the "Manufacturer logo replace dropdown" menu, but now if I activate this lines the manufacturer dropdown menu also appears with logos, but the logos don´t work...

I would like to have the manufacturers logos for the categories and the category filter for manufacturer´s product list....

I will see the mod in depth.

Any suggestion?

Thank you for your great support.
