Download filesize 0 ???? is 2.6Gigs too big?

cannot find the issue anywhere that can help me resolve it WITHOUT turning off Download-by-redirect!!!!

I do NOT want download via stream.

Everything worked WONDERFUL with a smaller file (3.5M) but with this 2.6G file, everything is now weird.

This HAS to be up and running. This HAS to be a download-by-redirect. I HAVE to resove this and I cannot figure out why it's not.

I very much understand what you are saying, and I feel that I need to investigate that, but I have concerns with that concept.
First - what size is "too big", or what size is "manageable"?
Second - how am I able to split it apart so that it would zip back together again as a single .zip file? This is a video file (DVD) that is for sale from the filmaker (my client) and its not like I have many different files that I can put into many 'smaller' zips....

ok... somehow it seems to work now THE DOWNLOADING, but the file size still claims that it's 0 bytes. weird or what?? is there a PHP line of code that I should include somewhere to help indicate the filesize???

Your host has control of this as far as time limits on a php event and such

GB sized downloads are not usual on a shared hosting environment
