Gift Certificate Setup

I have gift certificates set up and running, but there is one odd thing.

In the drop-down, the amounts show as $10 *10.00, $20 *20.00, etc.

Is this something I did in the attributes setup?

I want it to just be $10 or $10.00 ... not $10 *10.00.

Thanks bunches! Jules

Re: Gift Certificate Setup

Okay, so I asked a question that was too stoopid to even be justified with an answer?

Or, no one knows?

Just curious.

Re: Gift Certificate Setup

It might be easier to understand your problem if we could perhaps peek at the Product that you have setup that is showing this ...

This could just be a display problem based on how you named your Attribute components for the Option Name/Option Values and the amounts of the Option Values ...

I'm sorry, it is pawsomedogz.com.

I think it is a display problem ... then again, that might just be the way it is supposed to look.

Thanks bunches! Jules

Re: Gift Certificate Setup

It looks like on your Attribute you have added a One Time Charge rather than the Price ...

Look at your Attributes for this Product and see what settings you are using if you EDIT one of the Attributes ...

I did set them up as a one time charge, but most of the attributes stuff I do not understand. I will try changing it and see if that fixes it.

Thanks bunches! Jules

The values that are being displayed are coming from a couple different places. The $10 is coming from the option value and the *$10.00 is coming from the prices and weights section of the attribute controller. You must have the price box set to 10.00 and the box to its left set to *. You might consider changing the option value to something like Ten, leave the price set at 10 or 10.00, and blank out the box to the left of the price. That will display Ten ($10) in the pull down.

Re: Gift Certificate Setup

Hmmmm ... I'm not understanding where/how to change it obviously.

I changed it to $10 in the Price & Weights, on the left side, and took the one time charge to 0.

Now it displays as $10 (+$10.00) in the drop down.

Can someone tell me exactly what to change to make it just $10 in the drop down?

Thanks and HUGz! Jules

Re: Gift Certificate Setup

It is displaying as:
$10 (+$10.00)

Because the name of the Option Value Name is: $10 and the Prefix is + and the amount is 10.00 ...

That is the way the display works ...

What I was suggesting in my post was that you might change the option Value Name from $10 to Ten, set the price to 10, and blank out the prefix. The result would be an attribute in the pull down that looked like:
Ten ($10). Eliminating the text in parens would require modifying the template.
