Information in footer - need help

I am trying to display the Information Sidebox as inline links, just above my footer.

On another post I saw the suggestion that this should be achieved with ezpages.

But I like to be difficult and do things my own way.

I have added to my tpl_footer:

<div id="altInformation"><?php require(DIR_WS_MODULES . 'sideboxes/information.php'); ?></div>

And in admin>Tools>Layout Boxes Controller, I set the information box settings to:
right/left column status: OFF
single column status: ON

The problem is that the css keeps returning as:

class="rightBoxContainer" style="width:150px;"

This is coming from tpl_box_default_right.php. Why is it not collecting the css from tpl_box_default_single.css instead?

I don't really use my right column, so I could just edit tpl_box_default_right.php to include the css that I want, but I'd rather not, in case I should find a use for that right column.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Re: Information in footer - need help

The only "sidebox" that uses the "single column" status is the search header. It is meaningless for the rest of them.
I think it was an early development idea that was never fully implemented.

Re: Information in footer - need help

Thanks for the info.

It's a shame that this feature was never fully developed (and confusing when you consider that it is an option on every sidebox in admin>Tools>Layout Boxes Controller).

If fully implimented, this feature could make zencart infinitely more customizable.

Re: Information in footer - need help

I agree. I think, based on comments by some of the devs, that something like this may be available in v2.0 (currently in development).
