Removing footer's links?

HI everyone, I asked this before I think, but am still unable to work it out, so I'm on my knees for a solution!

My client's site is: http://www.cerridwenscreations.com/

I want to remove the 'get a web design quote' link from the footer, but altering the tpl_footer.php file does nothing. I've gone into modules/footer.php with no luck, I even checked the 'default' template to see if altering that will make any changes.
I'm totally stumped, I can remove the entire footer and it makes no difference.
Can anyone tell me where the footers links are stored, as I need to add privacy t&c and other bits and bobs to it, and remove the text already there.

Thanks hugely!
xxx

Re: Removing footer's links?

Check includes/templates/avignon/common/tpl_footer.php. That's where that is usually found. If it isn't there, use the Admin - Tools - Developers Tool Kit to search for something like gainesville or some other part of that string. If it doesn't show up there, check your EZ pages.

It looks like the template designer has managed to include that legal stuff inside the navSuppWrapper, where it isn't ordinarily.

Re: Removing footer's links?

<div id="siteinfoLegal" class="legalCopyright"><?php echo FOOTER_TEXT_BODY; ?></div>

They could have put their link into FOOTER_TEXT_BODY. Find the define for that in /includes/languages/your_template/english.php.
The stock define looks like this (Line #15):```php
define('FOOTER_TEXT_BODY', 'Copyright © ' . date('Y') . ' <a href="' . zen_href_link(FILENAME_DEFAULT) . '" target="_blank">' . STORE_NAME . '</a>. Powered by <a href="http://www.zen-cart.com" target="_blank">Zen Cart</a>');

Re: Removing footer's links?

The footer links are another matter. You already have the Home link (in white, above Web Design Quote); you can add more by turning on the ez-pages footer links if necessary in Configuration > EZ-Pages Settings, and making ez-page "internal links" for the links you want. Set them to display in the footer.

hello there,

I've been struggling with the same thing, had a look around in de template Avignon and found in:

/includes/template/avignon/common/tpl_column_display.php

the lines to change are in the following part line 46 and on:

!--bof- site copyright display -->

<div id="siteinfoLegal" class="legalCopyright"><?php echo FOOTER_TEXT_BODY; ?>   |   Get a <a href="http://samwilson3d.com/instant-design-quote">Web Design Quote</a> from <a href="http://samwilson3d.com/ocala-web-design">Gainesville Web Design</a></div>

If you change the setting in this line to you own it will display what you want
