Need to be uploaded to a server???

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this site and zen cart. So, thanks for having me. I do have one question prior to download I can't seem to find the answer to. I am still in the process of building my website through Dreamweaver CS4. I want to using zen cart. My site is not yet upload to a server on the internet. till being built. does Zen Cart only work if im on a server?? I wanted to download the cart, add all my products, get it all set up, then upload everything to a server? Is that possible??

You can install Zencart on your local computer, but you'll need to install all the server stuff too (PHP, MySQL, etc.). There are some package programs that install those things all at once. The Book (ad above) has complete instructions.

Just my personal opinion, but I think it's a better idea to start right out on a remote server. Hosting is cheap.
