Edited main page & now it's gone!

I just edited my main page via instructions found on this forum. I then saved the edited page to Save the edited file in /includes/languages/english/ourhometowndeal/index.php
When I went to view my page it was blank!
All I did was remove the Congratulations you have successfully installed Zencart from the main page. Did I put this file in the wrong folder?

I just looked at the source code and there's nothing there either.

What program did you use to edit the file ?

Check your /cache folder for error log messages.

Microsoft Expression Web which is the same thing I've been editing in.

That is specifically for html pages not to be used for php files

Get a real code editor for all php edits

Free ones

Ok, downloaded Crimsoneditor, redid the edit and uploaded and I still have nothing showing. Any other ideas about what the problem might be?

Did you start with a fresh file??

Were there any error logs in /cache ?
