Nothing is working: trying to add external link to header menu

I am using bask_black template.

I am trying to follow the instructions here https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=234 for adding an external link to the header nav menu.

But these instructions do not work.

First, when it says "find the following code" that code DOES NOT EXIST on my tpl_header file. I see the <!--bof-navigation display--> but there is no code under that similar to the code they reference.

SOOoooo, I tried the EZ pages instructions. I followed them to a T. The only place my link will show up is in the footer. NOT in the header, although I have certainly configured it to.

:frusty:
Any ideas??

The tutorial instructions work for stock Zen Cart. Individual templates may change this behavior; we would need to see your site live to give the best advice for making it work. Your template apparently has a custom version of tpl_header.php, which has changed the top nav links and possibly disabled the ez-page headerbar.

Thanks. It is a client's adult web site, so not sure it is appropriate to post a link. I will try to get help from the developer of the template, thank you.

There is no problem with giving the address in the forum, as long as you include a content warning so someone is not surprised when they look at it. The template's support thread is the best place to ask for help on this.
