Item 'Name-' and small item header mod

Hi,

I'm doing a very basic setup on Zen 1.3.9 with a few style changes. Nothing glamorous at all.

I've turned off a lot of stuff as this is just a basic showcase.

Couple of things I can't figure out having hunted high & low:

1. In the Product listing there is a header of "Item Name-"

I've looked everywhere but can't find where the "-" is coming from. I'd like to get shot of it ! I noticed on another demo site it was there as well.

2. I was also trying to make the colours in the bar all the same as currently 'Product Image' is in white but 'Item Name' and 'Price' are blue.

I can see that they are controlled by this :

But if I change that to white then the Item Names in the list go white (and become invisible) as well !

I'd just like the heading white (they rollover to red which is fine) because they are on a darker background, but not the product names.

Anyone got any ideas ?

Click on Item Name- and you will see it change to Item Name+, as the sort changes from descending to ascending. Any of the headings except image can be used as the sort criterion - this feature is not described on the listing page.

The color difference is because the rest are links and Image is not. You can style the listing headings separately from other links and text with a rule tailored to it.

Add to your stylesheet

.productListing-heading, .productListing-heading a {color: #ffffff;}

Item Name- = Get it now. Would it not be a bit more intuitive to have ^ and v ? If so, any idea where the + and - are buried and I might having a play changing them ?!

I might just add a space after the text to separate it a bit as well.

You can set the ascending and descending markers in admin > Configuration > Product Listing >
Product Listing Ascending Sort Order +
Product Listing Descending Sort Order -

Gawd, so easy when you know how. Must have looked through some of those pages a hundred times....

There are some settings that I have pointed out numerous times over the years, and still have to search for. Sometimes I waste a half hour looking for something I have seen before. I'm really looking forward to the admin overhaul scheduled for a couple of releases down the line.
