Customization of Admin Panel

Hi all,

I want to do a customization for the admin panel coz the company will be adding their own products and they will put their administrator..

I want to restrict them access from the menus for stuff they wont use so as they wont be able 2 change things..

For e.g: Extras and also Configuration -> GV Coupons will not be necessary.

How to remove such unnecessary options??
Any suggestions please..

I have created a new admin id and I have check some drop-down he need to have.. When I login with the new user name, its blank, I dont see the Configuration->My Store, etc..

The new admin has the id=2 coz there already exists another account..
For the other account with the id=1, it accepts the changes I made..

Can you suggest what I must do for another admin account??

Its ok I fix it up.

Now when I check only Configuration Menu and the Store functions for the new admin account I created, I saw all the other functions which remain unchecked..

Can any1 suggest what can be done??

Yea, maybe require a little tweak..

I did check only Configuration Menu and the Store functions for the new admin account I created. I login as my new user and I saw all the other functions which I did not check..
When clicked on those functions which were not checked, i got the error message which is fine.. But even though, how to eliminate the functions that were not checked??

Now, I checked the Catalog Menu and some other functions, it gives me the list of whatever I checked..

Is there smefing which require to be done on the Configuration Menu??
