Product listing image - a text overlay

Hello there,
First post - searching and reading here has helped me hundreds of times but on this one I am stuck.

The problem? If you hover over the featured product on the template site you get text description come up.
Now the images in the template are a bad aspect ratio for my items so I have changed the image sizes in configuration> admin >images. This has worked fine but affected the text overplay. Try to hover over one of my helmets and you will see it comes up only a tiny amount.

I have located a bit of code in the stylesheet_tm.css file but when I tinker with it - it doesn't do anything.

Can anybody help? Much appreciated.
