Installation in Progress too long....

I am on the Zencart setup and I just finished putting in my
Database host: Local host
Username: Sitename_admin
Password: Blah blah
Database name: Zencart_store

I just pressed "save these settings" button and now I'm on the "Installation in Progress..." page. Here's the problem, I have been on the installation in progress for 10 minutes.

This is all I'm seeing.

Now I'd just like to know if it normally takes this long or longer for ZenCart to be installed?

What do you suspect that means?
I've been reloading the page a few times over the past couple of days and I'm still getting the same response.

There was one thing on the installation page that was a warning.

It said "PHP Output Buffering (gzip) = OFF"
I'm not sure if that could be slowing down the installation.

Since what happens at that point is the population of the database, I'd guess the problem is there, but I would expect an error message. Try deleting the database and creating a new one.

I deleted the previous database and user, and I have created a new database and user, but the issue still persists.

The installation in progress isn't changing. It just shows the zen cart banner and says "Installation in progress..."

I have even attempted to do the installation on different browsers, just to see if its a browser issue, but the issue still persists.

Contact your hoster as the problem is database related. They would know better than anyone else what the problem is.

You have posted in the "Mac Server" section - Is your hosting really on Mac? Who is your host?
