Manual processing of credit cards

This is my initial setup for a new site. I am in the early stages of seting up the site and Zen Cart v1.3.9h.

I have brick and mortar store. I have no need of using an online credit card processing company. It is an easy thing to do to use the real credit card terminal to charge the card.

My needs are to have a way for a customer to add products to their card (ZC will obviously do this). After an order is complete, I want to receive an email notification that an order has been placed.

For the credit card info, I need to have that available to me so that I can charge the card manually and then delete the order from the web.

Is this possible and where in the Wiki or tutorials can I find this information about how to set it up this way?

TIA,
Linda

Re: Manual processing of credit cards

For PCI reasons and a real security risk that method was removed from the options

You should read your requirements for taking these online
https://www.pcisecuritystandards.org/security_standards/index.php

Choose not to comply, or get lax in your security and you are liable if there is any issue

There is now a 3rd party module - - BUT read the caveats and use at your own risk

http://www.zen-cart.com/index.php?main_page=product_contrib_info&products_id=1277

IMO a processor for $20-30 monthly is "CHEAP" insurance versus taking the liability on yourself
