If you get yourself a copy of firefox with the developers toolbar you can see the css code used and play with different values without making changes until you get what you want:P

#1. in your stylesheet, change:

.main {
}
```to:

.main {
background: #000;
color: #fff;
}

table.header td {
background: #000;
}

#3. Really can't tell a whole lot from your image, but I think what it's showing is that your button moves over when somebody logs in, right?
