PLEASE HELP! Admin won't come up!

Sorry to post such a newbie question, but I suckerpunched myself right out of the gate. I was setting up a new template for the first time. I created a new directory under /includes/templates, copied in the original css directory and template_info.php just like the tutorial said. Then I signed onto admin and used the template chooser to select the new template (which appeared nicely in the drop down menu). Then everything stopped working! Right now, my home page comes up but no other pages, and admin won't come up at all so I can't can't put things back the way they were.

What can I do? If someone could tell me where the current template name is stored I would gladly reset it back to "common". Please help!

My specifics:
using version 1.39, not upgraded
no addons, no customizations beyond a new logo and a few other pics as far as I know

Installing a template does not impact the admin files if installed correctly

As you were able to access the admin to activate it indicates that there was no error in loading the template files to the wrond/admin side of your install

Might look at your admin files with FTP and sort by modified date and look for files with a newer modified date that the rest

Thanks for replying, kobra. I haven't spotted anything along those lines, but there are tons of files in admin so I'm not sure where to look. I'm doing some php debugging and the process of loading admin is stopping when it gets to init_languages.php. Any thoughts?

Easiest at this point to just reload all the admin files
