Image for Product Category is very small

Hi all,

trying to get the image that will be a bit of a 'showcase' for the product category going. After messing around, I uploaded a huge picture for a category, and it came out very small (about the size of an icon or logo).

Anyway to make this span across the whole page, either by code or by mod?

been searching through css and source code and cannot find where I can change these attributes.

The size of the Category images are set in Admin - Configuration - Images. The default is 57X40 which is what yours are being resized to.

I can tell you that you want to seriously reduce the file size of those images before using them there. Your Jonathon Adler image is almost 2Mb (!) and will really slow down your page load times. The image on the other site you referenced is ~50Kb - still a little big, but much better.

Thanks a lot for the help and for the tip. I messed around with those parameters and it did not get resized, but I was not sure if that was the correct setting. I'll play around with it some more and see what comes of it.

I have tried a few times to change the sizes and am still having no luck. Any other ideas?
