Guests retreiving downloads after purchase?

I am using the latest version of Zen Cart (1.3.9) with PayPal express checkout. Today I have two customers asking me how to log in and get their downloads. They clearly checked out, but they didn't create a profile (they checked out as guests). Is it possible for them to retrieve their downloads or do they need to be emailed to them?

If you've set up your store's PayPal Express Checkout settings (Admin->Modules->Payment->Express Checkout) to create an account in your store for the customer, then they would have been emailed with a welcome message when the account was created, and that email would contain their password. They can use Forgot Password on the login screen if they want to reset it.

If you've turned that option off, then you've disabled their ability to login to their account to access their downloads. In short: don't do that.
In that case you'll need to send their purchased item to them by some other means ... maybe an email or something?

Simply stated: if you're going to sell downloads, you need to haveyour customers create an account in your store.

Thank you. I do have it set up to auto create an account for the customers. they are probably just not seeing the email that is sent to them.

Okay, then they can use their email address on the Forgot Password page to get a new one sent to them.
