In store Pickup sales tax doesn't charge right

I trying to using in store pickup functions for my site, but the 1.39 only allow me to charge customer base on shipping or billing address. So, it is not a correct way to do it. because all customer walk in to the store will need to charge base on my store local tax. So, has anyone knows how to add the store zone tax when customer wants to pickup in local.
thank you

Re: In store Pickup sales tax doesn't charge right

I am having the same issue. I installed the local sales tax mod. The problem I am having is that when someone decides to do a local pickup or pay by check my sales tax comes up as 0. Anyone have any idea to get it to charge a customer a set sales tax when they order using the pickup method? I need help. I am glad there are forums out here like this. Thanks in advance!

Here is what it is showing when someone adds a product to the cart then selects pay by check:

Sub-Total: $139.95

Store Pickup (Walk In): $0.00

Total: $139.95

Re: In store Pickup sales tax doesn't charge right

anyone come up with a solution for this? right now i'm limiting "walk in" to addresses within our state, so it charges tax, but we get a few people from out of state who want to come by, so i'd like to expand it. i'll be looking into triggering a "delivery address" change when that shipping method is selected - won't alter the customers' addressbook, but will use the store address as delivery for purposes of taxing. if anyone has a faster/better idea, love to hear it. :D

Re: In store Pickup sales tax doesn't charge right

I solved this problem in a fairly easy way. I added a customer called "Walk In" to my store. I gave it the address of the store, so it automatically picks up the local sales tax I have set in my tables. I use this customer any time I get a walk-in or, more often, when my wife sells some of our candles or jewelry at work, and just delivers them herself.

The only problem with this is you won't be adding each customer to your database. I use the walk in customer for all of them, then just add contact information in the order notes.
