Php4-5

Not sure where to post this, trying General Questions.

When I set the defalut from PHP4 to PHP5 I get the following error on my admin logon page and cannot logon.

Fatal error: Call to a member function Execute() on a non-object in /XX/htdocs/XX/includes/functions/sessions.php on line 72

In the store I have the same error message noted at the bottom of the page;

With PHP4 as the defalut I do not have this problem.

Please advise how to correct.

Zen Cart 1.2
Patch: 2.0
Database Patch Level: 1.1.2
Store: https://www.uskgj.com/zc/
PHP: 4.4.9 or 5.2.17

Re: Php4-5

Yes - old - the road to upgrade is pretty long and has not been easy so we still have an old Zen Cart.

Re: Php4-5

So why try to ugprade to the latest php? You're stuck with the environment that works for you until you upgrade to the latested recommend version that Kobra mentioned. Good luck, I can sympathize if you have a highly customize cart.

And it only gets longer and harder as time goes on

Suggest you install new version in a folder with a new DB and get started

Re: Php4-5

Well I am upgrading but stumbled a lot and am kind of stuck.

I have to upgrade to PHP5 for Gallery to run, so that will be on hold until I can get Zen Cart updated or working.
