this is the error in the admin:

in:
[select count(*) as count from ncb_customers]and this is the error on the website when customers try to create an account or contact us:
1146 Table 'ncb.ncb_customers' doesn't exist
in:
[select customers_email_format from ncb_customers where customers_email_address= '[email protected]']
"ncb.ncb_customers"
"ncb." is the database-name followed by a dot
"ncb_" is the table prefix, which would match your configure.php file setting
"customers" is the rest of the table name.

My prefix in both configuration files is 'ncb_' and that is the same prefix in phpmyadmin.
However there is not a table titled 'ncb_customers'
Correct. The error message confirms that.
Something you (or someone/something) has done has deleted that table.
You'll need to restore it from one of the backups you'd made before installing addons.
Your entire store won't be able to function without that table.
