Manafucturers Sidebox dropdown colours

I currently building a site, and while these forums have been great at helping with many other problems, I can't find a solution to this seemingly very simple one.

I can't seem to find out how change either the text colour or background colour in the manafucturers sidebox dropdown menu. I searched for a long while to find a solution with no success, so any help would be appreciated.

The site I am building is at http://www.woolbasket.co.uk/zen-cart/

Check the file manufacturers_select.php in
includes/templates/YOUR_TEMPLATE/sideboxes

The only tpl_manufacturers_select.php I have is situated at

/public_html/zen-cart/includes/templates/template_default/sideboxes

I've played around with it but I don't know where or what code to change the background/ text colour.

This is the contents of the file:

You are using estorenow template, check in the folder sideboxes of that template.

If you want to change it with the default one, copy tpl_manufacturers_select.php and put it in the sideboxes folder of the estorenow template, and edit the red part of the code for your color

I don't have a tpl_manufacturers_select.php in estorenow sidebox folder (even did a search using the developers toolkit to be sure). Would it be fine to just copy the default one in?

Update: I tried that and still no luck.

Exactly where did you put that?

Anyhow, it should be ok, if you don't have a sideboxes folder in the estorenow template folder, create one, and put the copy of the manufacturers_select.php in there.

What did you search for with the developer toolkit?
Could you try searching for
rgb(107, 134, 39)

If you want to change only the color of the text put this in your stylesheet.css

#manufacturersContent select {color: #000000;}

}

Change to this:

option {
background:none repeat scroll 0 0 #6B8627;

When I posted the code from the pl_manufacturers_select.php found in template_default, I neglected to mention that I had added 'background: #6b8627;', in the hopes of solving the problem. There was no mention of background when I opened it up fresh. I've copied that file into estorenow/sideboxes folder when no change.

Tried that haredo and it changes to colour of my whole background so that I can't see the background image. This happens with all my pulldown menus (such as product filter) is there a way of changing something to do with that?

You changed the option on line 1468 in the stylesheet.css
Please change it again and leave it so I can view in Firefox with addd on called Firebug...

Many thanks to haredo for working through this problem through PMs. This was the solution:

open your stylesheet.css at

zen-cart/includes/templates/Your_Template/css/stylesheet.css

Change this:

option{
background:#FFF;

}
select{
background:#21303C;
color:#FFF;

}

to this:

option{
background-color:#6b8627;

}
select{
background:#21303C;
color:#FFF;

where "background-color:#6b8627" is for the colour you want in the dropdown boxes.
