I wish to add a $5 handling fee on top of the canada post shipping fee. How do I go about doing this?

There should be a handling fee entry in the module setup in the admin

There is one, but it you have to choose to either use the canada post shipping and handling system, or charge per box, not both. I cannot find an option to add a fee per order.

Log in to your CPC_ shipping profile . --> go to handling fees -->then select an option : 'flat rate' sounds what you're looking for?
add your extra cost there.

I dont see that option anywhere on zen cart, are you referring to doing that in the canada post website?

FYI,
I recently shipped to United Kingdom for an ebay product. Shipping for a 1.7 kg package using Canada Post Corp /Ebay was $50.26
I then did a 'what if' from the 'Not Live new web store I'm working on ' ( had configured CPC for a hidden flat rate of $3. )
The CPC shipping cost at the web store for 1.7kgs was --> $53.26.
