Help with main page

Hi All,
I went to Tools > Define Pages Editor > and edited the main page file and now I see the text on the main page also on the categories with sub-categories.
I went over the admin configuration and could not find a way to turn off.

Can any one point me in the right direction to display the main page text only on the main page.

Be,
What do you have on this setting ? > admin panel/ configuration/ layout settings

Main Page - Opens with Category

set it to 0

Hi,
Main Page - Open with Category is set to 0.
Could it be a CSS issue?

Hi,
I tried all your suggestions but in the end it was an issue with the way my template was made. I could not turn it off from the admin section and I had to edit the tpl_main_page.php files to edit to my liking.
