How do I protect my downloads?

While I haven't downloaded the ZenCart software yet, I was wondering how would I create an 'expiring link' to my products, whereby after the purchase is confirmed through PayPal, my customers can receive a link without gaining access to my other products?

I was going to use AgoraCart 6.0, until I stumbled upon ZenCart, and it seems this definitely more user friendly. I know some basic HTML, and web functions, but I am completely new to building a store online.

Currently, I have the products, the domains, and the hosting with Hostgator, but I'm really concerned with delivering the product in a secure fashion without having to pay a 3rd party like (################).

Is this a complicated process to do myself?
