Coupon code management

I give out a coupon to customers the are multiple repeat purchasers. The issue is that coupon sites are getting my coupon information. Also one of my affiliate programs - merchants is a coupon site.

Can I have the coupon code not work by placing something in the URL link that will tell my cart not to allow the coupon/discount?

My practice is to set coupon codes to expire within 30 days. I would regularly send new codes to those you want to have them and expire the old ones to prohibit them from floating around. You may also want to make a few unique codes to help track anyone you suspect of sharing your info.
