Disable Credit Card Payments

Ive got a fresh install of Zen and template. My client wants the order process to where customers have to send in a payment via mail. We do not want to mention credit cards. Presently, I have all credit cards tunred off in the admin but the option still shows on the site. Is there a handy way to remove that credit card notice?

Do you have the credit card payment module "turned off" or "removed"? You need to uninstall it by clicking "remove".

I expect your client has good reason for doing this, but in the normal way of things, this is guaranteed to reduce sales!
