pls help.

tried to install zencart on opensuse 11.4 and got this error:
ERROR: date.timezone not set in php.ini. Please contact your hosting company to set the timezone in the server PHP configuration before continuing.

pls help

Exactly as the message says: You need to contact your server administrator to have them set date.timezone in the server's php.ini

its not on the server, i am trying to run it on my local machine running opensuse 11.4

Okay, then you are the server administrator.
You'll need to update your server's PHP configuration by setting the date.timezone setting.

You might have a good find here

Also try to raise awereness I spent 2 hours on this before comming up with a solution... Others have spent more... :/
