State Changes to Alabama When Updating (imported) Customer Information

I am experiencing a strange error. When I edit customer information in the admin section of my website, more often than not the customer's state will randomly change to Alabama. It doesn't happen every time, but it usually does.

I am using Zen Cart Zen Cart 1.3.8a.

Any information on how to fix this bug is appreciated. :)

I can't seem to replicate the problem when using the latest version of Zen Cart, now v1.3.9h.
Granted, I don't recall ever encountering that problem in 1.3.8 either.

I wonder if it has something to do with the fact that all of our customers were ported over from a previous system...?

In any event, it's not the worst the on the planet. We just change the state from Alabama back to the original. I just hope that it doesn't cause any problems in the future. :)

That is a possibility since we have had reports of customer record problems with information ported from other systems.

Sounds like your customers' address records don't have entry_zones set up in them to match the country/zone configurations in ZC.
That could cause you problems with calculating taxes and shipping costs.
